Office of electrical generation efficiency and studies Office of electrical generation efficiency and studies under deputy of energy generation optimization has servers duties and activities that are: ·         Analyzing the problem and barriers. ·         Policy making and planning for comprehensive energy studies on increasing thermal power plant performance decreasing domestic energy consumption and re-powering in thermal power plants. ·         Introducing standards and indexes related to energy performance and domestic energy consumption in power plants. ·         Planning and conducting studies of installation CHP plants (focused on steam and electricity, discreet heating and coaling, water desalination,….) ·         Planning and conducting studies on distributed generation (DG) technologies (such as: turbo expanders, natural gas and hybrid fuel engines. Small steam and has power units, power generation through intact recovery in industry) ·         Planning and conducting studies on using energy storage technologies. ·         Planning and conducting studies on using energy generation (thermal and electrical) technologies from waste (incineration power plants) ·         Executioners management related projects. ·    Planning for settlement energy management systems in electrical energy production

Office of transmission and distribution efficiency and studies Office of transmission and distribution efficiency and studies under deputy of energy generation optimization, has several duties and activities that are: -          Planning and conducting studies on decreasing energy losses in electrical transmission and distribution systems. -          Introducing standards and indexes related to electric network losses. -           Planning and conducting studies on using recent technologies of transmission and distribution electric energy. -          Planning and conducting projects of street lighting optimization. -          Planning for settlement energy management systems in electrical energy transmission and distribution.

Environment office Environment office under deputy of energy generation optimization, has following duties activities: -          Planning and conducting studies and researches to indicating mutual relations of energy sector (generation, transmission and consumption) and environment. -     Analyzing the effects of energy saving activities in residential, commercial, industrial,…. Sectors on environment.

CFL office CFL office. Following the Iran energy efficiency organization (SABA) goals on developing energy management and promoting energy saving culture, has the main duty of developing using the CFL lamps.

National energy conservation laboratory The laboratory starting from 2000 has the following duties and activities: -          Investigating the energy consumption in electrical equipments. -          Introducing energy consumption standards and energy labels. -          Testing domestic and imported energy consumer equipments to check fulfillment with energy standards. -          Analyzing and comparing energy consumption of various domestic home appliances. -          Supporting the practical industrial project introduced as BSS MSC, and PHD thesis. The national energy laboratory has taken ISO 17025-2000 certificate on 2003 and 2005 and consists the following laboratories: -          Refrigerator and freezer -          Air conditioner (gas cooler) laboratory -          Evaporative cooler (water cooler) laboratory -          Washing machine laboratory -          Electric water heater laboratory -          Electric iron laboratory -          Electric motor laboratory -          Lamp laboratory -          Calibration department.
